| Aiming at novel neuro-technological routes for brain treatment, the project combines very different disciplines of science and technology, such as neurobiology, electrochemistry, 3D nanofabrication, nanoelectronics, and numerical simulations. The IN-FET consortium of academic and industrial partners has a laser-sharp focus on exploiting neuronal biophysics and electronic device modeling, to build a breakthrough technology for a brand new generation of brain pacemakers. |

| IN-FET's efforts and discoveries will ultimately advance current neuromodulation strategies, specifically aiming at future brain implants for the treatment of brain disorders such as epilepsy. IN-FET will advance neuroscience, biomedical microsystems engineering, and nano- neurotechnology. |
