IN-FET is the acronym of a European scientific project consortium, funded by the European Commission during 2020-2023. Read here our kick-off press release.

The project brings together experts in very different disciplines of science and technology: neurobiology, electrochemistry, 3-d nanofabrication, nanoelectronics, and numerical simulations. The IN-FET consortium of academic and industrial partners has a laser-sharp focus on exploiting neuronal biophysics and electronic device modeling, to build a breakthrough technology for a brand new generation of brain pacemakers.

IN-FET's efforts and discoveries will ultimately advance current neuromodulation strategies, specifically aiming at future brain implants for the treatment of brain disorders such as epilepsy. IN-FET will advance neuroscience, biomedical microsystems engineering, and nano- neurotechnology.
